Best thing to feed bulls

A simmental and a salers wintered outside. They maybe don't quite get 5kg, just a heap in the bottom of a bag but probably not much less some days. Always done similar without any problems, but maybe a bit heavy handed last winter in the really cold spell. Will try and be a bit gentler when filling the bag and see what happens.

Also trying to convert a shed so can get them inside when weather's really hard.

Spanish fighting bulls are selected for temperament, and handled in such a way as to promote that behaviour.
(and while I respect their right to have such a culture, I despise the way they handle their stock...it repels me)

I'm not sure there's any comparison to stuff here.

I'm going off decades of handling UK cattle, and the feeling that high fuelled bulls are often tetchier than those on lower planes of nutrition.
Although, as said, some of that is coincidence, and/or other factors.
I was not being entirely serious about the Spanish fighting bulls:cool:
Cant say i have ever noticed a correlation between well fed and less well fed and temperament. Seen nasty examples of both

Oh, outside. As u say , see how you get on giving them a bit less . And Lord Kerr the shed builder will be delighted to make you a bull pen or 2 !😂

I actually ordered a couple of bull yokes off him and going to put them in a small outside yard, let bulls into smallish bedded court to rest but outside to eat. Can shut them in to scrape yard or hold them in yokes to bed indoors.
Are they Mackie stuff?
Shorty has them at dustyhall. Impressive bits of kit . He converted a lean to with them, so he can lock them in the yoke, them scrapes them out daily, handful of sawdust on a cow mat, and done !

Yes. Got them last winter, but like so many things I haven't got round to fitting them yet. Shed we've got is more suited to bedding than mats and sawdust but hopefully won't need done too often lol.

I think it's easier keeping them outside but maybe not in a really hard spell. Also need somewhere to jag or bloodtest them as they don't fit though our current handling system!
