Scientist's are promoting Bison as the answer to conservation, biodiversity and CARBON CAPTURE.

A new profitable venture opportunity.
Where can I get a starter herd?. Lets not miss the bus.

How do I start a crowdfunding appeal to raise the dosh? It worked for Buffalo farming.

Got the trees, got the grass. Will one electric fence wire hold them in or will it take a second wire?

There’s a big difference between a bison and a buffalo.

You can’t wash your hands in a buffalo! 😁

How do they differ from our more conventional bovines that are blamed for climate change?
I honestly don't think that some of these reporters realise that both species are ruminants. Hence the reintroduction of bison is cheered as part of rewilding but cattle are still demonised as destroying the earth (although admittedly the management of a lot of cattle is a long way from bison).

They don't serve up bison steaks.
They do. Ted Turner (owner of CNN) has the largest owned herd of bison in the US.

I was on RFP with one of his employees. Meat is supplied to a variety of selected retail and wholesale outfits.

And, they probably don't need food brought to their houses the same

When farmed they're fed hay and other harvested forages. They don't do so well in a feedlot environment though.

This a self congratulatory circle jerk aimed at harvesting tax payer money.

A dangerous animal licence is required in the UK, similar to that needed to farm wild boar.
