Calf with Coccidiosis

I have a 7 week old calf with cocci. The Vet has treated it with Trymox and after no change another vet visit, calf was given an epidural to stop it straining, something to help with stomach irritation, an antibiotic that also works on cocci.. Sorry can't mention names as can't read the Vet's writing. The epidural wore off and the calf started straining again. The calf is still very loose almost like water and now a yellow brown colour and still stinks. It's been on Rehydion for over a week. As you can imagine it has lost a lot of weight and stands with a hunched back. It's surviving in the main off of 2 feeds a day of 6 litres milk with the Rehydion in. It has hay and straw and nuts. It will occasionally eat some hay/straw but not much at all.

Is there something I am missing that I can try? I don't want to get Vet out again as nothing they give is helping.

Thanks in advance

we use vecoxin on lambs , we also use the brinicombe imuherb buckets just to keep levels down , seem to work ok often get a rise in issues late autumn and they have kept lambs dry this year but wouldnt rely on them yet in face of an outbreak .
Seems to be something in the herb bit which seems to help whichever brand.

Suppose it’s trial and error to see which work.

I was thinking of trying the buckets with lambs however keeping the ewes out of them and having to move when paddocks are changed is a pain.

The active ingredient is oregano oil a natural coccidiostat smells like aniseed it does work if strong enough dose we did trials on it years ago

Be same as tolracol , vet says need to be on farm for a month to get exposure , before a month wont work.
It not so much a question of the drug not working. The calves have to be exposed to enough cocci to build up a natural immunity. It you treat too early then you run the risk of them coming down with cocci after they have been treated as they have no immunity.
