Case multicontroller

Currently pricing a replacement tractor for a maxxum 110 and the question of multicontroller has come up again. I was afraid of the electric spools/ loader joystick reliability the last time and was wondering how people have got on with them?

So electric spools and electric mid mount valves have been largely reliable?
I have got first round quotes back from a few mf , deutz , new Holland and so far I have been quite surprised how much cheaper the case is. Between 12k and 5k, new Holland being the closest. Is there a new model maxxum coming out soon ?

Case 110 maxxum, new holland t6.140 , mf 6613 dyna 6 , deutz 6140.4. All spec similar with the exception of the deutz, much higher spec in order to get ccls not available on 6130.4.

I hear MF can be a lot more expansive than other brands.
What sort of money was the new Holland if you don't mind me asking. PM if you'd rather.

They are only giving cost to change at the minute probably leaving some room to wiggle on their paper quotes. But the mf man quoted me on a 6614 first I nearly fell over 22k more than the case to change. So came back with a price for a 6613 which is 15k , deutz 12k , new Holland 5k more than the case. All same tyres, 3 manual spools, cab sup, ccls, 4m loader. Deutz has electric spools and joystick

Place I work sometimes has a t 6.150 so I know what they are like. Case is identical to the one I have apart from adblue ( they somehow have made the cnh 16 speed gearbox whine even more in the new ones, the main reason I'm looking elsewhere ) I will try get the 6613 on demo because they are very long, same wheelbase a the 6 cylinder cnh ? We won't get into that debate again. I'm over in Ireland and deutz demos are rare , a good few of their tractors at the ploughing had English plates on them. At the end of the day money talks and those are big gaps and the maxxum has been very reliable.

I drive a t6.150 n it whines a lot, the lower powered t7s are worse with the vario had one last summer on demo thought I had tinnitus at the end of the day .

With Multi controller I take it that's electric spool valves? New Holland/ Case one's were very expensive to replace valve slices (around 1k each and not repairable) and not overly long lasting. Not a problem if Tractor stays for just warranty period but could be annoyingly expensive afterwards.
I know of a dealer that bought a large Claas Tractor with 2x failed valve's and it was going to cost over 5 k to sort at 1st qoute.

I would think about getting a cvx in stead of the electric spools. With most things electric spools are nowhere needed anyway. I have a puma at work with the electric spool and mainly drives a sprayer and a trailer... They are nice but as said, no fun when they fail.
Actually, if it's a possibility I would like one electric spool for the fronthitch (of there is one) so you can control it with the multicontroller.

Deutz was 1800 when I asked :(

Cvx brings the multi controller as standard. All spools are electric with them too unlike mf where you can have two electric and two manual. Puma don't seem to have a option of manual spools is that correct? I suppose it boils down to how reliable they are, tractor stays around here a good while, current one will be 10 years in may with 7000 hours on it at the minute. I think cnh really need a new gearbox for these tractors or at least an option of more gears.

Looks like I can put manual spools on maxxum cvx but not on multi controller. The loader joystick would still be electric, ill have to chat to the dealer about it, it wouldn't be the first time brochures were wrong. Dual power option welcome back the eighties, I wouldn't mind a gearstick but you would need four power shifts to be productive. I still have to look at the class arion 400 series with the fpt engine, its a pity they don't put a fpt engine in the arion 500.

do McCormick do a tractor that would suit you and maybe be cheaper?

Dealers would be the problem with either McCormick or landini . Further away and only selling small numbers so backup and know how might not be the best. All the ones I priced are within 20 km. Victor was Deutz 1800 for replacement electric spool ??? :scratchhead: that's crazy money sterling including vat I presume.
