case have a farmall u pro series, 4 gears with 4 splitters, maybe worth a look?
They (mccormick) had some issues with cabin interior when first out, but mechanically they've been good so far. It's early days, but the ZF back end is a tried and tested unit that's been around for years with the button shift robotic change grafted in. It shouldn't give any problems.Farmall is far too light for a 4m loader and short on power. Is it a steyr based gearbox in them. Nelson have you had problems with the 16*16 gearbox or just not happy with how noisy they are?
Looked up the McCormick tractors and quite surprised fpt engine and zf all the way back, x7 is basically a c-shift deutz with a fpt engine. Anybody heard any reports back about them.

The McCormick X7 has been a very good tractor some out there now with 2000 hours on the clock and no real problems.Farmall is far too light for a 4m loader and short on power. it hasnt gone wrong yet but the clutch packs make a screesching noise when changing gears between 14 15 16 and when you pull any with a trailer on. diff wines theres a deley when changing gears and the clutch is very sharp weve had 5 or 6 with this gear box and they all be very go apart from the last new oneFarmall is far too light for a 4m loader and short on power. That's what the mechanic said when one of mine failed but I didn't replace it just use the others as ones spare anyway and the one that failed was the usually unused one and wonder if it stopped working due to lack of useDealers would be the problem with either McCormick or landini . Further away and only selling small numbers so backup and know how might not be the best. All the ones I priced are within 20 km. Victor was Deutz 1800 for replacement electric spool ??? that's crazy money sterling including vat I presume.
Ali how many hours is on the 110 with two spools nearly gone? I suppose we all look at how much the electric spool is at around 1000 but the price of a mechanical spool might surprise might also frighten you. My 110 is 06 and the whine is not to bad only in higher reverse gears. Its the new ones iv driven that concerns me a 13 t6.150 & 15 t6.175 15 maxxum 125, they seem to whine in all gears and squeal changing higher gears. But I will agree about the layout is good and the cab is a good place to spend the day. Sweet engine which is easy on fuel. Anybody know about the new model, supposed to be dropping the six cylinder apart from the biggest model and stretching the wheelbase of the four cylinder ones and boosting power outputs .
Who's your case dealer?I've got vast experience with all 3.
MXU/Maxxum - Semi powershift, mechanical spools, central dash.
Maxxum Multicontroller - semi powershift, electric spools
Maxxum Multicontroller CVX - Vario, electric spools
The standard Maxxum, very good, reliable, we put 8500hrs on our last one. Mechanical spools were faultless, other than replacing a sticky cable which was used for the front linkage. Gearbox was very good as long as it was calibrated a couple of times a year, 10minute job. Gear box whine? Honestly never thought it was that bad, got used to it.
Maxxum Multicontroller - again, very impressed with it, been very reliable. Electric spools are a dream to work with, however, number 1 spool has near enough completely failed on our 110 now. But I can make it work on the joystick, luckily I've only got the push out hitch on it. The problem, if you're lucky, can be the little control box on the side of the slice, however, if you're unlucky like us, its the slice itself, which is about £1000. No.3 spool is dicky but works enough to lift/lower the mower so that'll do for me.
Also, as you'll have an engine that's providing 'boost' you're putting a bit more welly through the drive train, so you may find you'll have to keep a close eye on calibrating. Obviously it all depends on what you're doing.
Maxxum CVX - Multicontroller, all the same, apart from a couple of little things to do with the vario, but this is all shown in the brochures. Only had it since june but it's been absolutely faultless so far. Seriously impressed. The Vario is fantastic to use. I've got mine with front linkage and pto and I had Case throw in mid mount valves for the front linkage so I'm not tying up 2 spools at the rear. 3 are standard, 4-5 optional. You can have your loader put on mid mount valves so you can use it on the joystick.
They're very well balanced and over all very good tractors IMO. We've considered Massey, just can't get anything like the layout of a Case though, plus the extra £££ and again, Claas can't compete with the layout and price of a Case.
Good deals to be done too. See if they've got some unsold units at the factory yard, many thousands to be saved off a new build!
