Not had a go in a newer powershift one. And yes, I do believe it was that bad, there was no give in it at all, it just sounded as if someone had left a tool box under the floor! It just crashed and banged side to side. If you do go for the CVX and want front linkage try and go with a Lynx Zuidberg. The dealer recommended it over Case's own one.
Absolutely, the proper integrated front linkage is the mutts nuts. We've got the properly integrated case front links and it's spot on, potentiometer aside. Controlled from either joystick, proper height control from the armrest, auto pto on/off external raise/lower buttons etc.
Case 110 maxxum, new holland t6.140 , mf 6613 dyna 6 , deutz 6140.4. All spec similar with the exception of the deutz, much higher spec in order to get ccls not available on 6130.4.
What did you buy that time?Currently pricing a replacement tractor for a maxxum 110 and the question of multicontroller has come up again. I was afraid of the electric spools/ loader joystick reliability the last time and was wondering how people have got on with them?
I purchased a mf 6613 dyna 6 in 2016, a lovely reliable tractor. Had the usual soft drive issue but only servicing cost after that. In 2020 I went to upgrade, priced mf nh and case. Massey dealer absolutely no interest (a new dealer opened up closer to me since, which I didn't know about at the time) anyway long story short ended up with a new case maxxum 125 active 8 multi controller, nicer tractor but nowhere near as reliable as the massey.
What exactly is the multicontroler?I've got vast experience with all 3.
MXU/Maxxum - Semi powershift, mechanical spools, central dash.
Maxxum Multicontroller - semi powershift, electric spools
Maxxum Multicontroller CVX - Vario, electric spools
The standard Maxxum, very good, reliable, we put 8500hrs on our last one. Mechanical spools were faultless, other than replacing a sticky cable which was used for the front linkage. Gearbox was very good as long as it was calibrated a couple of times a year, 10minute job. Gear box whine? Honestly never thought it was that bad, got used to it.
Maxxum Multicontroller - again, very impressed with it, been very reliable. Electric spools are a dream to work with, however, number 1 spool has near enough completely failed on our 110 now. But I can make it work on the joystick, luckily I've only got the push out hitch on it. The problem, if you're lucky, can be the little control box on the side of the slice, however, if you're unlucky like us, its the slice itself, which is about £1000. No.3 spool is dicky but works enough to lift/lower the mower so that'll do for me.
Also, as you'll have an engine that's providing 'boost' you're putting a bit more welly through the drive train, so you may find you'll have to keep a close eye on calibrating. Obviously it all depends on what you're doing.
Maxxum CVX - Multicontroller, all the same, apart from a couple of little things to do with the vario, but this is all shown in the brochures. Only had it since june but it's been absolutely faultless so far. Seriously impressed. The Vario is fantastic to use. I've got mine with front linkage and pto and I had Case throw in mid mount valves for the front linkage so I'm not tying up 2 spools at the rear. 3 are standard, 4-5 optional. You can have your loader put on mid mount valves so you can use it on the joystick.
They're very well balanced and over all very good tractors IMO. We've considered Massey, just can't get anything like the layout of a Case though, plus the extra £££ and again, Claas can't compete with the layout and price of a Case.
Good deals to be done too. See if they've got some unsold units at the factory yard, many thousands to be saved off a new build!
It's the arm rest which has all your controls on it. There is/ was the option to have the standard version which had all the controls on the side console and a normal dash board behind the steering wheel. What exactly is the multicontroler?
What does it do?
