Is anyone using the (probably) Chinese made cheap leaf blowers from eBay.mostly unknown brands like Parker.can get a unit for about £80/90 .I've got a battery one originally bought to blow water of car after washing,on reccomendation from American car detailers, but it lacked puff and was pretty useless.it's no good whatsoever blowing of my batwing mowers hence wanting a petrol version.blower I'm looking at blows at 170mph so I'm assuming that's ok.any recommendations please and anyone else using a cheapie

I bought a Sanli cheapo leaf blower probably 10 years ago to blow my balers down with, it looks identical to the parker ones on ebay today. It starts up every year having been sat in the shed for 10 months of the year, and does what I want it to. Certainly was worth the £50 quid ish that I paid for it.

Yep we have one, was well under $200nz, got it in case of grass fires but use it alot more than I ever thought I would. Great as we lived on a very dusty road. Everything else we own is Stihl but glad in a way we didn't lay out big money as the cheapo is very good and starts well

This is the standard unit @1.2m. I bought it SH sixteen years ago for sensible money (£40) not the stupid prices that some sellers think they are worth.
There is a short version @.600mm
All parts are available if required.
I think the trigger is brilliant and effortless👍

Have had a Parker one for 3 months or so now ... after looking at the battery ones which were either useless or too much £££s for the use it'll have.

Cracking bit of kit for £60 delivered.

Never considered a leaf blower for this job... Is it really better than the compressor?

Bought a laubsauger one 9 years ago. Only £80. Does a job, but probably had spent more and got a better one with hindsight

Edit. Just looked up the Parker ones on ebay. They look way better than what I got

Had a Parker one a good few years now as others have said, starts first time after how ever long you leave it. Also have a strimmer and chain saw from Parker all brought thinking if they do a year or 2 still cheaper than the repairs I had spent on my sthil saw but haven't missed a beat. fabulous

Don’t have the leaf blower but my Hyundai chainsaw is great and always starts on the second pull has plenty of power

I have a stihl petrol blower, brilliant at cleaning things down.

Really like to blow the back of the grain trailers down when I have tipped the load so that the yard doesn't get peppered but got really hacked off with pull starting the thing every time for 30 seconds of blowing, plus it still blows a lot on idle which can be a nuisance.

I have a battery chainsaw by the same people and have just bought the battery blower it uses the same battery which could do with something to do in the summer anyway.

Not quite as powerful as the petrol one but entirely adequate and when the trigger is let go, no idle puffs of wind redistributing the carefully manicured heap front at all..

Does a reasonable job IMO, gets rid of all the loose dry material. Its not going to shift stuff thats got wet or oily and then dried on, so it won't make the baler look 100% spanking new, but it clears 90%+. Particularly good for cleaning out the knotters, if you don't have fans.

The picture shows my soil pick. 100CFM of air through a small tube.
I use it for digging and cleaning my machinery.
Have to dig around an old post or dig a hole for a new post, this is the bestest tool, particularly good in clay soil.
Point and shoot at an oily tractor and all that mess is blown off👍

Right thanks I didn’t know you could get such a thing .Does it just loosen it or does it blow it out as well ?
