Anything with clopyralid has strict rules on disposal of clippings - unworkable for the average amateur so best avoided.

Every spring my old neighbour down in the village would drench his lawn in MCPA and other stuff just so it looked uniformly green. I could understand it if we dependent on the grass yield etc but we aren’t. The lawn for me is the one bit of the place that’s easy to let go a bit and give nature a helping hand. I mow ours as the shorter grass provides a use full habitat but I cut it fairly high to leave a variety of plants : sheep’s sorrel, daisies, dandelions, white clover and err other stuff I don’t know the names of.

Got 100 acres of grass round the house full of dandelions for the bees. Just wanted to make the lawn look a bit more presentable!!

2,4D, MCPA and some clopyralid for the other riff-raff...
