Another year and another round of our neighbours sheep and lambs getting through their temporary electric fencing onto our land and even as far as through the front gates, up the drive and into the gardens around the house.
I've lost count the number of times concerned members of the public have come calling to tell us that they are concerned about "our" sheep wandering about on the public highway not far away. Calls and texts to the neighbour concerned informing them that some of his sheep are out again seem to only have temporary effect.
We take great care to ensure that our animals are kept on our property and land but we are concerned of the possibility that any of their sheep come face to face with our dogs in our garden in a reverse situation to the usual dog / sheep scenario. The house dogs only go out in the garden under supervision but there's always the chance of a sheep / dog encounter.
Obviously we usher the persistent beggars off our place but shutting the yard gates during the day is a pain due to deliveries etc.
Bit of an bi annual pain in the arse situation really.
