Failing spring barley

My spring barley hasn't quite had the start I was expecting due to a lot of rain slowing it down and the crows have had a good feed on the slower germinating stuff, it was destined for wholecrop anyway, what could I broadcast on to fill the gaps? If anything?
Thanks

I had a 10 acre last year......was planted late enough...was so dry very little germinated....thought it was a fail so applied rye grass with my vicon drill pulled with quad and flat rolled..... When it did rain....everything grew ...
Wholecroped when still green....was ok and was left with a great set of seeds.....westerwolds I wouldn't bother with.....compared to this rye grass......just rubbish
