Where is everyone going to obtain quotes / invoices for their FETF requirements this year now that the allocations are being issued?

Just curious, as we have been suddenly hit by lots of requests for quotes for FETF231A - Outdoor Group Calf Accommodation + Feeders + Penning Systems. and we are offering reduced / free shipping on many of the orders received to date.

Glad you started this thread. Has anyone dealt with or are dealing with Fowrass Fabrication for such as water bowser with integrated trough or cattle handling system off the grant list? They are wanting payment on ordering but no idea of lead time themselves. They say they are awaiting phone calls for other orders before they'll know - presumably to make a batch at once. The bowser (I know very expensive for what it is) not so much a problem but something that needs fixing in before the grant deadline, that's another matter.

As you said the deadlines are something to keep in mind - I think it's Early September to submit invoices and December to have equipment in place (Neither of which are very far away)!

Maybe worthwhile approaching some other companies in parallel just to be safe.

I'm using Halse of Honiton (Devon) for a cattle crush, they where good enough to hold one for me from when I applied back in March. Apparently they have 15 or so to go out, just waiting for the rubber floor to be sorted out (condition of grant)- invoice normally a couple of days after delivery. They normally have a huge stock of equipment, a wander around their yards is something to see !!

phew that worried me, so I just checked - the Sept date is for accepting the grant offer, the Dec 4th is for the kit to be in place.

What make of crush is that? looking for one to fit the FETF59 spec. The ones I've looked at have chequer plate floors but rubber sounds good to keep cost down.

Just a quick reminder to everyone - The closing date for getting your grant approved products purchased is the 4th September 2023.

Any approvals you have received need to be ordered and paid for ahead of this date.

Isn't the 4th Sept the acceptance date and purchases and claims have to be made by 5th December 2023?

I think this is wrong:
I’ve checked my agreement and mentions nothing regarding payment, just that the items will be in place/ available.
If the supplier wants full payment before ordering that’s up to customer/ supplier.
Please tell me if I’m wrong 😑

I spoke to RPA yesterday afternoon and they confirmed it’s the December date (I’ve got the reference of the phone conversation just in case!!).

Apologies, I was given some bad information by one of our suppliers, the clarification from RPA is as follows:

"Farmers must Accept and submit their grant funding acceptance form by 4th September
Goods must be purchased, paid, Photographed and evidence submitted to RPA by 5th December (Mid-Day)
Goods that are purchased before the submitted grant funding acceptance will be disqualified and may not be paid"

Hope that clarifies things.
