Just wondering how people are getting on with these systems?
TIA
TIA
What do you mean by 'wonder where that model will end'? Like all the others, trimble etc, maybe? Not a user, but I see they're selling extras for add-ons such as u-turns on headland. 650usd for that "feature" apparently... wonder where that model will end.
Selling add-ons. I had thought they were an all-in-one affordable solution, but now something as simple as a turn on the headland costing hundreds more. What next? What do you mean by 'wonder where that model will end'? Like all the others, trimble etc, maybe?
Why did he stop selling them...???Personally been getting on very well with our two units so far, supplied by @ERH Services Ltd before he ceased selling them, which is a pity because his expertise and product knowledge was the main reason we chose FJD. Anyway, we keep it simple, no need for auto turn or anything like that. The fact it only operates on an RTK signal (I believe) is no bother to us because we want the repeatability for permanent tramlines, and the accuracy for things like drilling between previous rows, and hoeing in the future.

The simple "aux turn" should be free with purchase this is the software which turns you on the headland. The auto u-turn is the more advanced function which maps the whole field and works out the most efficient way to drive it and then drives the full field for you.Selling add-ons. Similiar timescale. Odd glitch, which an Update sorted early this year. Odd glitch with the RTK, but not the FJD units fault, usually our crap 4G service.I have an FJD . Now done 2 years with it no complaints yet. We use it for weeding vegetables where accuracy is critical.
Not actually tried this, or even looked if I have got it on my system! The simple "aux turn" should be free with purchase this is the software which turns you on the headland. It may depend on where you bought it initially and when. We have offered it as a free option since it was released (not that long ago)Not actually tried this, or even looked if I have got it on my system!
One to look at next time we are actually able to travel on a field...

I would agree on the heavy motor, as the rather lightly engineered steering column on my Kubota has now had some serious reinforcement welded in!I've had one for two years. My findings are:
Positives.
Good value
Easy to fit
Quiet (but heavy) motor
RTK repeatability
Works on RTK2Go
Negatives.
Struggles to get on to line on left hand banks with terrain compensation on.
IMU fried itself after update. Thankfully my (then) supplier replaced it on warranty.
I do like it but I'm sure there are other products that are similar.

Yes turn off terrain compensation, unless going over 10% slope, The terrain compensation that you can see to turn off or on is only for slopes over 10% and will make usual performance worseI've had one for two years. My findings are:

I would be interested in having a dabble.... Mind, I don't anticipate ANY tractor work this side of January!I have a few Aux turn codes that I purchased when I was a dealer. My understanding was that these codes unlocked the full Uturn feature and no other codes would ever be needed.
If anyone would like one to try then let me know
