Ford 6610 with low ground pressure wheels/tyres

Hello all,

I have a Ford 6610 4WD as per thread title. The idea of having those wheels on was to reduce ground compaction and ruts during the winter, which it has done. The down side is that it doesn't grip well enough for putting out bales in the winter mud, which is its primary function! Quite like the tractor though (as much as I like any machinery!).

So, looking for opinions as to whether I would be better off buying new wheels and tyres and selling this set, or selling the tractor as is and buying something different with conventional wheel/tyres. I also have a 1975 Ford 4000 which is the back up and which could also be sold and the money chucked in the pot.

All advice welcome, including suggestions for an alternative stockman/loader tractor. TIA.
The gearing doesnt look right on those

@Woolless did you ever get this sorted out. Saw these on FB

Both types will fit, my 6640 came to me on 1000 series rear rims. As I said to the op at the time, if your going to spend some money to buy wheels, you might as well get the correct ones, as it will be more desirable with the correct wheels if he ever comes to sell it.
24 front and 34 rear would have been the most common wheel size for the 6610 of that time, getting the rear is a fairly simple exercise, getting the correct fronts won't be as easy.

Sorry should of been clearer, I meant they’re not the 10 series rims for that tractor. The first 10s had them, not sure when the change over happened, have seen the series 1s with both that type and the square style
Memory getting a bit hazy, but I think GKN changed to manufacturing the square centres in about 1984, so only the later of the first generation 10 Series would have had them. 10 Series ForceII came out in 85 IIRC.
