We have two or three vehicles at work and do quite a few miles currently we pay for the fuel we use and get the money paid back to us. Anyone use fuel cards ? Which is the best ? Thanks

We use Allstars. It's accepted most places. Recently though, they seem to have added some extra fees including monthly card fee and some eco charges. It's on my to do list to bend their ear about it and shop around for a better deal.

We've always found it cheaper to buy it in bulk.
Thats ok if your running out of your yard, in refueling distance of your yard , and your security is up to scratch for the the value of all that fuel.
Fuel cards are worth the fact that you have all your vat invoices in one place even if there is no saving
Can someone answer why Keyfuel prices vary so much between companies, the two I quoted in particular being 30p per litre

Are some of them inc VAT and some ex?
I find it hard to believe there will be that much variation otherwise. Always a few pennies whenever I’ve looked.

We use FuelGenie to fill up at supermarkets. Have just opened a good, old fashioned monthly account with an independent garage on the school run which is consistently 5p below the supermarkets.

Trouble is we have several yards and 60 miles in between so local petrol stations would be better perhaps opening an account would be better just looking for ideas and your opinions really

We are on 103.12 next week down by 0.16 from last week (And we get 0.5ppl of Nectar points as well)

So that is effectively a VAT inclusive pump price of 123.15 for next week ..... We do get folk ringing up with "Prospecting" prices but the have never been more that 0.5 ppl better and past experience tells me that they may not last - Our current rates are linked to the Rotterdam Platts rate and consistently some 7 to 9 p below the regular forecourts and NEVER seen a supermarket get close. And our price of 103.12 still stands at M/Way services (Tamworth showing over 125.83 + VAT = 151...!!)

Thats on a Wex (Esso) card with fortnightly DD billing.
