Fuel cards

It depends how much you use as to how good the price is. There’s still discount on a small amount but not as much.
As said earlier they offer a good price to get you on then hike it up when you aren’t looking the next month. You really need to look at a few then swap them around for the best one. Depends if there’s enough garages that take the cards too without going out of your way

Watson card here, via Group.
Have to watch certain places that do accept card, but also surcharge, eg. Morrisons fuel.
Useful saving, and saves having to hunt for CC receipts and the arguments about who should have looked after them better
.
Last Friday derv was 147.7ppl Inc vat.
Roadside pump prices around £1.59/£1.60 locally.

I run to both on the UK fuels network as that has most options close to me, as said before watch it because they aren't always the cheapest, but works for me, especially as I am not hunting for receipts at the end of the month

Yes but you MUST insist on a weekly price emailed to you. And keep a close eye on it, some of these card companies are crafty and push the price up hoping you wont notice
We have UK Fuels and Certas and use the cheapest. We did get caught when I didn't keep an eye on the weekly price. As said above they need watching.
This week they are both a few pennies below pump price.

I use a Fuel Genie card, which is just on supermarket fuel. Card is free and keeps accounting for VAT much easier as it’s on one weekly statement, rather than having to chase Mrs NeilO for any receipts for fuel she buys.

I’ve never looked at any of the other cards as most of the other garages locally start out much dearer than supermarkets anyway, andschool run used to pass several supermarkets when we started.

Some of the smaller supermarket forecourts can be fun negotiating with a triaxle stock box behind.😂

Thanks for that. One vehicle I have runs superunleaded and as that is generally a rip off down here I can save 25ppl with that card from what they tell me this morning
They don’t seem to do superunleaded every week, some weeks two types of fuel, some all four, so you need to keep an eye on things when the alert comes through on a Friday

I’ve got a BP plus and allstar. Both alow you to purchase petrol, diesel and add blue.
Got both cards in all work vehicles, get a text from both on a Friday for the following weeks price, and we use accordingly. It gives us some flexibility as well if we max out the weekly credit terms on a heavy week or longer week before I’ve got an invoice to pay.
works out about 15/ppl cheaper on average to pump price, that’s based on a usage of about 6000L a week.
