Any recommendations for the above? Son is making a quad trailer for a level dt and it's going to be too tall/ wide for the zinc tank in Hereford, not to mention the estimate was fairly hefty
I know it's not as good as the real thing, but silverey, zinc type paint/ cold galvanizing etc looks fairly certain. We're lambing and I haven't got time to travel far to other firms. Wish he'd designed a fecking toast rack now!Galv paint won’t be anything like as good as the real thing. If you want it galvanised are there any other tanks that might be larger? Joseph Ash are often round here….found their bath measurements on the website.

No matter how large your fabrication is, we can help. We have a range of galvanizing bath sizes to suit the smallest to the largest of jobs.www.josephash.co.uk
Failing that….for zinc paint I usually use ZG90.
Either make it in parts small enough to fit, then weld. Take it to a somewhere it will fit. Or skip the galvanizing paint.Any recommendations for the above? It's going to be a custom lambing trailer, not made yet just planning ahead.Must be a fair trailer, any pictures?
To be fair, the current quad trailer was slapped with hammerite and it's 25 years old. Paint is nearly all gone but it's sound. Budget is creeping up and cost of galvanizing is high for a one-offDifferent option maybe get it powder coated?
Just a thought.
Tank in Hereford is 1 metre wide and whatever goes in has to have some wiggle room.My nephew has just completed a big sheep shed job where everything was galved. It all went to Cardiff as it was the nearest one to be able to fit the walk through feeders in.
