Have some of that Chris Packham

I find it incredible that our Government and the BBC listen to,promote and give air time to Packham a troubled soul with obvious problems and a brainwashed 15 year old when talking about climate change and the countryside.
What strange times we live in.

Been wondering that, too. I missed Temple Grandin's visit to the SW Peninsula a few years ago. She is high functioning autistic (therefore vulnerable) and has devoted her life to developing humane handling systems for livestock. Although she was once frequently in the news, she received none of this continuing, drip-feed, cynical PR/Marketing coverage that is given to Mr Packham and Miss Thurnberg.

Unless people like Packham,Monbiot etc actually by a farm of say 3/400acres and practice what they preach, they have not ACTUALLY done any thing for wild life at all in their own right. They are solely campaigners, being a thorn in the flesh to British Agriculture.

Its like those in favour of re-wilding that don't want wolves in their back garden, no idea why

I've said it before, it's all about money! These people have found a way to get funding and public donations, to fight a bogeyman that doesn't exist. Just use the media to hype up a load of gullible people who will believe what they are told and watch the donations roll in, when they slow down start a new crisis, simples.
If there was no money to be made I guarantee all this virtue signaling would stop overnight.
They are no better than conmen and shysters, making life difficult for others in order to line their own pockets.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
