Heavy Duty Deere Toplink

Looking for a heavy duty toplink for a Deere 6830 for 24m mounted sprayer.

The R Series top link made by CBM are very good but are too long. Does anyone know if you can get a shorter Deere CBM toplink?

AL215043 is the genuine Deere one. Needs to be between 590mm - 610mm

Can you not make a solid one out of a thick lump of flat , drill holes at right lenth , be fairly easy , to do ,

it may well be but dealer is struggling to give me any info. No 4cyl tractor in stock there I can check.

Yes, have a vapourmatic one but nowhere near the quality of the CBM one.

I agree. Way faster, safer and no threads to wear. Need buttons on wing or a little lever on spool block tho. Not much more expensive than normal top link if bought from right place.

I've had a look, and limited search to CBM, CAT3/3. Are you worried what fittings at the end, clevis, hook, ball? If not gives a bit more choice.
590-610 restricts the search a lot, going down to the shorter lengths restricts the choice a lot, and generally get a lot of CAT1 and CAT2 toplinks which are no use. It may work by doing it out of individual components all off CBM and build your own, but probably work out dearer than genuine.

I've no button on wings or lever on spool block and get on fine with hydraulic toplink.

I'm going to order a hydraulic toplink off Dave for mounted sprayer too.

Why don’t you just get the genuine one for your tractor, from John Deere? It’s made for the tractor so will be the correct length and plenty strong enough for anything the tractor needs to lift.

Perhaps, but I have never seen a top link fail, if they do is it because the claw opens up or some other way?

There are several ways a toplink can fail, mostly due to a combination of wear, fatigue or abuse. They are are wearing part. Some are more durable than others.
