Hi,

New to the forum!

Have a few vintage Fordson’s and Ferguson’s.

Spotted this on a local farm. X reg (2000).

No bonnet on it, so can’t determine the model to research more….

Can anyone identity the model from this? Guessing it is a 4200 series.

More pics to follow. Thanks

Ah thanks! the year/reg was from memory. 01 is likely true for the reg too!

Its 4 cylinder.
Something i noticed was on the rear mud guard it has linkage control buttons.

Does 289A mean anything? The owner came back with that when i asked what it was, but couldn't find any reference to it anywhere.

I know it doesn't help much, but i will try to get more info later today.

Is the exhaust stack in front of the windscreen or up the side of the pillar?
4200 in front and 4300 or 6200 at the side...
4300 still on old 100 series back end,so no electric lift. It'll be a 6200 series I'd think.

Almost certain exhaust is at the side.

Looking like 6200 series. Will go and take another look! Thanks.

Its not running, was driven to where it stands a while back and believed to have electrical problems (suggested alternator etc).

Deffo a 62 series from the position of the plate. (Vin plate was on rear fender of the 42/43s

4 cyl version makes it anything from a 6245 to a 6265

Sounds like a good buy. Purchase it and report back 👍

Just had a quick look at it.

894 loader fitted

In a sorry state, needs new door, rear and roof glass plus front mud guards.
Been sitting for a few years.

5500 hours.

Looking online for reference prices, not many around to price off...

ELC electronic linkage control was an option on the 4200s we had a 4260 with it and very good it was too

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
