Herbicide Options for New Leys

With spring around the corner my attention is now on getting my grass re-seeds up together when it eventually warms up.

I have new PRG leys, with no clover, which need a herbicide to take out dock seedlings, chickweed etc. I'd like to overseed these leys with clover at some point this season.

I then have new IRG and Red Clover leys which again need dock seedlings, chickweed etc taken out.

What herbicide options have I got this spring? Is clovermaster is no longer available?

For non-clover leys you need 2,4D, MCPA and fluroxypyr. I used to add a bit more fluroxypyr and drop the 2,4D/MCPA back a bit if there were a lot of seedling docks in it. Used to use Headland Polo a lot but check what is approved for new leys and what rates are allowed.

I don't know what clover safe options are available I am afraid. They all sting the clover to a degree, I used to use the lowest practical dose I could (some options were pretty pricey, too) to alleviate its suffering.

Headland spruce was clover safe, used to mix with triad or pinnacle as appropriate.

Clovermax went this autum along with other 24db products, unless you already have some onfarm. I would also like to know if there are any clover safe options left

So what options do we have for clover safe products? I'm beginning to wonder whether my best bet is to spray with polo or similar, see what happens to the clover and then if needs be broadcast some more in after first cut. Seems a shame to do that though. Frustrating!

Will frequent cutting help to reduce docks? My plan is to do a first cut around mid-end of May then cut every 30 days from there?

Cheaper to ditch the clover and put it back in after. Or your in for massive costs . I've just bought a stocks seeder for the quad bike, as soon as it warms up I'm away overseeding. Mainly red clover
Clover seed is up a,bit but still less than £15 /acre 2kg . Must be a return on that

No it won't im afraid
Spraying is your only option . Before you reseed if possible l
Minstrel us the cheapest option but you have have to spray twice , but nothing works 100% unless you burn them off before resending. But then you still have the seed bank
