They needed to be universally fitted to every tractor and machine on the fleet or you couldn't swap a tractor from one job to another easily, you'd to remove the tractors PTO guard to fit the bracket, some machines would need major surgery to fit the brackets, such as a rotorspreader front cover, everything inside the rubber tube got lathered in grease making very unpopular with staff.Why didn’t those bendy guards that look like a drain pipe really catch on?
I think Spaldings supplied them.
