In case you were wondering why your phone signal has suddenly got worse…

Whilst I was vaguely aware of mobile industry changes it’s now a very real headache.

Vodafone in their bid to lead the way are shutting down 3G at speed. Others are pledging to do similar so they can ‘reinvest in 4 and 5g’

The result is call dropping in most places now round us.

O2 say they will be the last to do so, so now looking to move everyone across.

Same old story, give better speeds to the mass urbanites and ignore us. Instead of grabbing the 4g rope firmly before letting the 3G go, they are dumping it before 4g is improved

EE are terrible now locally - my phone often says 4 or even 5g but still drops calls

it's harder to make a mobile call here than it was 20 yrs ago

I live in a pretty populated area as well !
Most of my work is rural so I usually expect bad signal out and about, but I live near Hereford train station and struggle to get 4g signal in the house and garden 🤦🏻‍♂️

EE is exactly same here halfway through a call it cuts out!!
Very frustrating

There is planning in for a new Vodafone mast in one of our fields, so we'll likely have a great Vodafone signal all over the farm. No Vodafone signal anywhere to the West of us of course, but I'll be able to use my mobile phone as long as I don't try to be too mobile... :scratchhead:

I’m with 02 and signal has been horrendous for me for the past 3-4 weeks, it’s at the point I’m missing the vast majority of calls, it doesn’t even ring, I simply get a text saying I’ve had a missed call 🤦🏻‍♂️
Snap, just in the last 3-4 weeks too, god knows what they’ve done. Stream everything from 4g on my phone and hotspot for t’internet. Not available at the moment.
