They just said on radio this weather pattern ( what ever it's called ) "could" 🙄 have turned the usual weather on its head for this time of year and north and north west will have dry spell and south wil get the H2o 🙄,
But it's from the met office so will be a load of BS 🙄

It’s lambing time we always get easterly’s at lambing . It’s the only bloody side of the shed that’s open. It will revert back to westerly’s when we finish. Wind from the east is no good for man nor beast.
ratchet bayscreens are great, come back down after lambing , and not too dear ,when you take into account the better environment for lambing

A lot of rain forecast for here tomorrow :(
I could have drilled some of the ground yesterday if it had been sprayed off earlier in the week, but one day isn't enough when there's fert to put on and other jobs higher up the priority list.
Rained again this morning.

Rains additive.

The more rain through winter, the more water crops need in the growing season.
Yes. Was discussing this very topic yesterday. Guy reckoned his WW will be poorer later on...

I always liked a dry Spring on the beet after it had emerged and had a couple of true leaves up, as it forced the roots down, looking for water which paid dividends later in the Summer on a farm without irrigation.
