I think the cost of actually making them has little to nothing to do with the price and all to do with how much they can get away with.

But you would think they would try and get away with it with wheel weights more so. . They are made to fit that tractor and people will need them so can charge what they like. Can stick any weight on the front of a tractor regardless of make or colour. Can be diy made on the farm to so would of thought they would be cheaper

Depends if you use it for road runs or not

£900 secondhand all day long or less and paint it. I got one for 400 last year which needed a paint job and it looks good as new again. Old ones are actually better because the pins are retractable rather than fixed on the new ones. Handy if it’s going on the front of a non-front linkage tractor. I’ve been offered one of the bigger jd ones (1150?) for 1200 quid…sounds like a good buy reading all of the above?

A number of years ago was buying some 27 kg weights [for one of my little tractors] and the parts guy said the problem with weights is weight !!

The transport costs were the problem.

Certainly cost less in materials, just need to be fairly competent with a metal glue gun and grinder. Depends how good a job you want I suppose

Concrete weights are more bulky.

If it was local to me I would give £1200 for it.

Make a box and fill it with scrap earthwearing parts and put a concrete cover over it.will be less bulky than a concrete one

Something I remembered after my earlier suggestion was some years ago I made weight from old cattle drinking tank filled with concrete to fit dexta but it was too heavy so never used
