Krone mowers

Looking at buying a second hand krone mower only 12 months old not done alot just wondering what people think of them? Good mowers? What's people's experiences please

Didn’t like mine, it couldn’t cope with thick PP grass, would burn the slip clutch out. Tried everything the dealer suggested, didn’t make any difference. Went back to a drum mower, now no problems

I had that happen 1 year when grass growth was crazy. Really old pasture. Just had to go slower

Tried that, tried more revs, everything suggested, just gave up on it because it was wasting so much time compared to the Vicon drum mower it replaced which never missed a beat. Kicked my self for ever selling that and got a Kuhn drum mower, does a tidy job, cuts same fields , no problems. Presumably other makes of disc mower are better but I didn’t want to risk another expensive mistake

That’s strange. That year the grass was soo thick you couldnt drag your boots through it

I had the same problem as @Aspiring Peasants with an AM323 plain mower. Fine for 50 acres with new blades then the clutch would go, Krone couldn’t sort it and ended up selling it after a couple of seasons. Not had any problems with the easycut models I have used though. They have been good mowers.
