If you want a tractor to do a job, it’s a tractor to do a job. Unfortunately although a good tractor they’re not quite there with creature comforts and ergonomics, YET!! Although to hand the gear lever is not quite there but not a lot worse than what NH are still using with their 30yr old SLE box. Hydraulic quadrant and PTO controls are ok ish as are the spool levers. Very good passenger seat though 😂😂 You really need a few days with one to decide.

Looking at a s/h Kubota M110 GX with Kubota loader, 2015, 1700hrs. Looks clean.
Thoughts please as I've never driven one.

It's not a mainstream model so parts and mechanic experience might be more of an issue than with the main brands.
I don't think they are considered as 'heavy duty' as the top ranges of the mainstream brands. Its workload will tell you if that's an issue or not.
On the plus side, because there's not many about you want get a million different opinions and silly arguments about them on here.

Condition, price and whether you like it are the most important things.

Hope its better than my 9960! Cheap and moderately cheerful sums it up.

VERY noisy transmission, rubbish cab ergos that I am slowly sorting. Kubota loader quite good, but the control lever is a horror....

Hydraulics seem OK, old fashioned quadrant is... old fashioned! Even my 1999 Zetor had a button raise and lower. Dont rate the Draft control very highly.

Maybe the M110 is better, have a bit more than a test drive ;)

Dont know if I like it as never driven one, that's why asking for advice.
Only you can tell. I don't like most of their models but you might. It's a very personal thing. Post #7 sums it up for me even though the M110GX is far better than the 9960.
Have a look at it even cosmetically and it will likely be rusty in the chassis and exhaust and the orange faded, which gives a fair indication of general build quality.
However, you may find one that is immaculate with a warranty and that you like it. You MUST see the damned thing. No good asking others as you will get a really mixed bag of replies. Some will think it to be the bee's knees no doubt.

Got a 135, not sexy but bombproof, ours had an animal stockman on it for 5 1/2 thousand hours, still going strong.

Ditto this. Plenty of cheap spares available and if you look after it, they apprciate in value.

On the other hand, I've just bought a 2nd hand Kubota ride on mower. I know it's not a tractor, but if I were the OP I'd check out the cost of parts...and sit down when you do!

The mgx are cracking piece of kit, we have been dealers for just over 3 years, can honestly say that they are very reliable, service costs are realistic, some parts are dear...but also a prop shaft on a similar model is £30! It very much averages itself out!
big cab, an extra 8 gears in the box over a nh.

I know nothing about Kubota tractors but I can tell you a rather small plastic panel for a ride on mower is nothing like £30. More like £300 (actually, I think £500)! I have the 3M plastic adhesive setting on eight taps on a panel on my mower that the previous owner tried to fix with some other glue. Every tab had broken off. New belt on order, not the Kubota one at nearly £200 (Ebay) but another to similar spec at a third of the price.

Just speaking from our experience, as I said, some items are pricey, some are reasonable...they seem to average out ok!
they do ha e approx 59% of the diesel mower market so can’t be going to bad.....

I looked at one M110 when I was looking around last year, it had been on a dairy farm and looked a real mess cosmetically, much worse than one usually sees.... No paint under the cab anywhere, just rust. 1200hrs...

However, just the smell as I jumped in the cab put me off immediately anyway :)

Probably a lot bought by local authorities, where no one is responsible for picking up the tab. Pure farming is a different ball game, and the cost of replacement parts makes a big difference in ownership
