Presuming mine has broken,only 3 discs driving out of 6.I see there is a plate covering the end on the non drive end,will it come out easily or do I need to take the bed apart,havent had time to look yet TIA.

Undo the massive nut on the end
Undo the 4 bolts holding the bed to the frame
On the end of the disc unit then there should be a plug that holds the shaft in tight its probably gone and the bearing is too and the shaft has slipped out
You need to slide the end unit off and refurb it and re assemble
Not a massive job and not too expensive either

358 and 359 have come either loose or out

As your discussing Lely mowers, are the conditioner gearboxes or gears available for the Splendimo LC classic model? Been told nothing available, and cant find the part numbers for the gears listed, although it's a Commer box.

From the parts book the shaft is in 2 pieces anyway,so they may have parted in the middle rather than broken or rounded off,thanks for that.

never played with lely :scratchhead:

thats cos there shite (sweeping statement prob not to accurate)!

however when at york machinery sales there are generally alot of very new lely mowers in with suspected faults often makes me think this unconventional design is not great and prone to failing.

I have a lely plain mower that we have stripped the bed and used the gearboxes to rebuild trailed mower so the headstock and bed drive gearbox are available if anyone needs anything,I will post pictures later.

Have you got the black arm that puts it in park? The hooks cracked off on mine...

@Bobthebuilder has a thread running somewhere...(y)

Thought my ears were burning [emoji848] but just thought it was the sunburn off the quad today [emoji57] what width of mower? Ours was the 320mc and has 2 shafts in it 1 shorter than the other so make sure you know which 1 is broken unless your just gonna do them both at same time, should be able to get them from kramp if you can’t get from lely/fendt dealer, just need to make sure n get the discs timed at 90’ to each other when putting new shafts in, not too bad a job to do, mine was a bit more to it as I was replacing spacer sections,skids,discs and the main round shaft as well Project mower refurb
