Any tips for undoing the big nut, first time its been apart and struggling to undo it,heated it up but broke the socket, probably didn't get it hot enough.I assume its not left hand thread.Looks like it needs a bit of a refurb, one of the spacers is holed and that's where the shaft has broken, need some wear plates as well.

Thought my ears were burning [emoji848] but just thought it was the sunburn off the quad today [emoji57] what width of mower? Ours was the 320mc and has 2 shafts in it 1 shorter than the other so make sure you know which 1 is broken unless your just gonna do them both at same time, should be able to get them from kramp if you can’t get from lely/fendt dealer, just need to make sure n get the discs timed at 90’ to each other when putting new shafts in, not too bad a job to do, mine was a bit more to it as I was replacing spacer sections, skids, discs and the main round shaft as well Project mower refurb

Need advice on a referb. of a splendimo 320. gearbox.
We have stripped the bed to replace some intermeadiate units to find the bottom oil seal to the gear box leaking, so want to replace this and bottom gear bearings, where the hexaganol shaft goes into the gearbox.
we have removed the plastic cap small circlip and one large circlip, on the side away from the bed .
How do I now get the bearings out?
Can I drive the gear right out on the bed side complete with outer bearing??
Daren't it too hard as I'm not sure if the gear can come out !!

Hi I know this is an old thread but hopefully you’ll be able to help, I have a lely 320 mc, you said they have 2 drive shafts, one smaller than the other, could you tell me what length they are, and what side the smaller one is on, I’ve tried looking for an exploded diagram of it but can’t find one, also how do they fit together, sorry about all the questions

Have you lost drive to half the bed?

There should be a 'plug' and circlip in the end unit to hold the shaft in place.
This, the plug comes loose(circlip pops out)

undo big nut(it WILL be VERY tight)
Undo the 5 bolts holding bed support
Support bed underneath and slide end unit off
In end unit i put a 25mm bit of old hex shaft and the plug back in and welded the plug in place(only spotted and water on straiggt away to stop heat into bearings)
So shaft has no way of ever slipping again
Refit making sure discs 4 and 5 are in time
Fit support plate then big nut
Tiggten the 5 bolts then tighten the big nut to 700foot pounds

The shafts join together in the centre of each unit
They meet and join in a coupling that forms the input shaft of each unit

Get a one piece shaft at a steel merchant and be done with it. They are 14 mm manganese steel.
You used to be able to get manuals on lely-forage.com or something like that but no more it seems.
I have all manuals and exploded diagrams, let me know what you want.
