Lely Rotonde with 540 standard

I have a three speed case maxxum 115 6cyl and I switched the speed to 540 standard to do a bit of mowing
The next day I tried to row up some grass with my lely rotonde 510 And it seemed like the rake was turning slower in 540 standard than 540 E is this normal? ( I was at 2000 revs in standard to get the same speed as It was turning in 540 E 540 revs

If you've enough power it'll not matter what you're in .

All that will happen is in eco you'll be slightly slower forward speed than standard 540 so it's like another different range of gears by using a different engine speed

Only a novice but I suspect if you`ve a round baler it may be better in standard but a small square baler would probably be OK in eco with that much HP.

I couldn't see a 115 having the power to mow or bale in 540e. Wouldn't fancy the rotonde in 540e either, the pto engagement is usually sharp enough in 540, never mind 540e and the rotonde won't need to be run that fast. More revs usually means more lumps

540 eco - less revs, lower fuel consumption, lower power and torque (probably) - potential to either stress tractor engine (get hot for example) or cause fluctuations in PTO speed.
540 standard - more engine revs, more power and torque, higher fuel consumption - easier to keep constant PTO revs on hills or when the implement requires more "power" either intermittently or all the time.
The tractor needs to feel/sound on top of the job and the speed of travel needs to be as you require - you really need to have an idea in your mind as to the "power" requirements of each individual implement too
Tractor engine revs need to be set according to manufacturers recommendations to obtain 540 PTO revs in either eco or standard mode.
Presumably it is a round baler??
540 rpm at the PTO is just that - whichever (PTO)speed you select - I would think the speed of travel of the baler and tractor over the field will have a significant effect on bale density though.
