Not used the omni lift, but we've just bought a 2.5m omni til. We demoed one and were blown away by it. Ours/the demo was set up with 250mm wings not the low disturbance 150mm option but the point design helps massively with preventing ripping up soil when pulling out at the ends. The leg design is also phenomenal at reducing draft and the leading shim design also helps to reduce soil mixing if thats what you want. As I say ours was set for getting close to max lift (300mm wings are available). Other big benefits of the plowman machines is the tungsten wearing parts. Yes they're expensive but are suppose to last incredibly well. The main benefit of tungsten as was explained to us thats often overlooked is that the wings don't lose their shape as they cover ground therefore they maintain their optimum geometry and lift across every acre. They gave us some figures on it all it the field has to do is grow 25kg more per acre to pay for increased cost of tungsten (without including reducing labour costs from several sets of metal otherwise). In addition they have wear plates on top of the wings to further limit wear. We tried one as looking to do the work ourselves instead of contractors and what I can say is this waz our compared to a trio:

Contractor running a 300 to 330hp tractor on a 3m 6 leg trio at 8-9 inch deep and discs in 3 inches between 3-5mph on heavy clay.

We were running a t7060 210hp (240 boost) on a 2.5m 5 leg omintil 10 inches deep and disks in 4 inches between 3 to 4.5mph in the same heavy clay. Got up to 6mph in some gravel we have too.

The omnitil produced more lift, created more tilth, left and left a leveller finish all whilst using less horsepower per meter.

Again for the omnitil but some of the other benefits of the plowman design is the packer has ridges to give positive traction so doesn't sludge is soft ground. Possibly the most surprising thing about the omni til we found was that it produced the best job we've seen across all soil types. We're mostly heavy clay but have some loamy ground and some gravel. You can also get the legs with boron strips welded to the side if stone and wear is an issue for you. Probably not relevant for low disturbance but you can also get a DD packer fitted which we've ordered to help in heavier ground.

Honestly we found them a great company to deal with who have a product to match and will tailor it to your needs. I'd suggest giving Jim a ring as he's great to deal with and will be able to help you best.

We use a simba flatliner fitted with Metclaffe NG legs it makes a very good job with little surface disturbance really like it. I think kvernerland build them now.

8970 280hp it pulls a 5 leg Taylor Gent flat lift good or a tracked machine if needed but its the packer and legs that i am looking for its not for deep sub soiling
its more like 5" to 6" were we have had all this rain and its gone tight in the top

Tillso sabre ultra lite here for anything up to 250mm deep. 10 legs on a bespoke 4.5m TWB frame pulled by 340hp. Tillso parts are expensive, but with judicious use of Ferobide they can last a very long time.9F93F6A1-C338-4C12-AB2C-251FC8C99D7E.jpegAC271BB6-1A59-41DE-966A-A3E91F536CEA.jpeg

An old Renault 120, so book says she is a110 hp. On grass as an experiment my neighbour put his 4 cylinder NH tl100? on it and it was ok, but was flat ground. If the ground is too dry it slabs coming up in big flat slabs, difficult to do any thing with after except chisel plough to reset the ground.
Pictures from France thread page 19 post 373 shows the normal I do.

Would easy pull it with available go then. Is yours a 4 or 3 leg version? Not sure if a 4 would “lift” too much if that’s possible?

Can have 3 or 4 on mine.
4 legs never a bother. Was advised a 3 leg pass left the ground 'unlifted' between the middle of the legs in hard ground but not slabbed as much.
Do find the ground to be very SOFT if a lot of rainfalls on it, 2to3 inches.
The ground here will slump and set like concrete just for fun. Oh did I say the ground is abrasive points every 15 to 18 hectares and shins double that.

thanks, it stands out compared to the rest the way it’s leaves the ground after the roller and minimal disturbance
