Enthusiastic Main Arable Operator
Skilled Main Arable Operator required for progressive family farming business in South Oxfordshire covering 675ha of mainly combinable crops with environmental schemes and many other diversified activities.
The role is a chance to get involved in an evolving farming system and try new techniques within a supportive family business.
The role will principally consist of:
As well as being enthusiastic and organised, the individual must be self-motivated, reliable, honest, take pride in their work and have a willingness to learn as our industry changes. They will have 5 or more years' experience in operating all necessary arable machinery.
The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly to match the seasons and will hold certificates for PA1 and PA2. Knowledge of GPS essential.
Telehandler and chainsaw certificates, as well as PA4 and PA6, would be beneficial.

- Undertaking all arable operations including cultivations, drilling, spraying, fertilising, combining and grain store management.
- Machinery maintenance and servicing in our heated workshop
- Responsibility for using Greenstar and other machinery software
- Purchasing of some inputs, eg machinery parts
- Record keeping (field and machinery)
- General farm tasks to ensure smooth running of the business.
