What rates does everyone put on rotted cattle muck ? Were told to put put on around 100T/Ha but this looks far too much when we do it and often see it ploughing back up next year.

I'm sure you meant 25T/ha which would be a reasonable dose.

100 tonnes per hectare of cattle FYM would supply what I would describe as a veritable ship-load of potash just for starters.

Need a fair tump of muck to do a modest sized field with 100t/Ha . Alot of the weight would be water i would guess. I have put 35-40t / acre on in the past but you cant plough it until it crisps over abit

get it tested before you do anything, RB209 says 6 kg/t N, 3.2 kg/t P and 9.4 kg/t K - result I have just received back from lab is 3.2 N, 0.9 P and 4.9 K so a big difference, likewise poultry muck @ 75% DM says 35 N, 20 P and 26 K came back 32 N, 33P and 21 K so well worth getting it tested

I should imagine it depends a lot on what the livestock was fed. We use very little concentrates so am considering sending off a sample to see myself.
