latest wheeze, Anglia University has been paying so called Net influencers to promote their courses. So these people are claiming what a great time they had at a college they have never been near in their lives. Anglia paid out £1.4M last year fro such advertising.
Google is taking millions from fraudsters promoting high interest accounts, which are of course a scam bu/t google assist these people promoting them selves as Goldman Sachs etc. even though they have been warned by the likes of The Financial Conduct Authority about them.
High time the likes of Google, Facebook and co. were made to pay compensation to the victims of the lies, frauds and scams they are happy to promote.

I was on Netmums for a while ( for a very good reason) undercover. quite shocked at some of the opinions posted on huge number of issues.
They certainly carry a lot of weight politically, as I think nearly every new mum in the land is a member

Netmums is run by people with an agenda; they aren't ignorant, but they rely on the ignorance and the credulity of their site's members. The weird, in fact paradoxical, thing about them is that they are remarkably conservative about some things and on the liberal-left with regard to others; a sort of suburban, aspirant middle-class priggishness seems to hold sway, in which things are wrong because they think they are wrong and right because they think they are right... :ROFLMAO: :banghead:

There is a whole loads more of PPI stuff yet to come. This may well be one of them. A lot of advertising is sold based on magazines people don’t ask for or want and adverts that are never actually shown (in the digital word).

netmums/mumsnet best avoided - just a cauldron of women thrown together with little in common than being female. Building virtual relationships. Apart from the few there are some very aggressive and women who spend all day telling others how to live their lives - time would be better diverted into perhaps offering their time with the Samaritans or other charity organisation instead of sat on their arse all day on social media.

Spent some time on there years ago and see the error in my judgement now. Babycentre was another. Brought nothing into my life - could of been doing better things with my time.
