New countryside code.

Apparently, we've got to say " hello " to everyone we meet.

It's OK that only applies to visitors and not landowners!!

It's good to see it says dogs must be kept to the footpath but annoying that they left that part of the summary.
Many wont read the details and will just read the summary and think they can let dog go where it likes as long as they can see it. Very annoying for those of us who live reasonably near footpaths.

Yeah. Spotted an hour ago. No where near the ROW. In for one hell of a summer, I think. Come back lockdown, all is forgiven.....

This is so typical of our "touchy, feely" society these days. I can't understand the logic of those peple who bag their dog sh!t up and then leavethe bags on the path or hang it from trees. Being totally overrun here!!

And no mention of trapping and burying ramblers anywhere.

Strange times indeed.

All thats done has annoyed me further with the idiots that think they can walk everywhere they like. We've now removed 3 private bridges we use to cross water courses that are no where near footpaths to stop idiots walking everywhere.

I was thinking about a red notice at each end of the footpath. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE COUNTRYSIDE CODE DOGS MUST BE KEPT STRICTLY TO THE FOOTPATH
however you are probably right!
I might try a couple of those notices. I don’t insist dogs are on a lead since most of the sheep went but it annoys me to see dogs crashing through my beans breaking them down down on a daily basis.

Same here. Put them in for the agronomist. Next thing it became a dog walking route though miles off the path. They were quite cross when I took them out.

Yep I had one guy knock on the door soaked because he'd fallen into a stream trying to jump across. He got even angrier when I informed him he was presently 400+ metres off the footpath and he was stood on private property uninvited. I let him rant a bit more then told him his rant and swearing was now on CCTV as well to brighten his day up further. I was laughing in his face as I shut the door on him. It made my day.
