They seem to have a lot of gear box options now, range command, power, vario,
Seems lot of manufacturers offering 6-8 speeds on the goabout time they replace the electro shift
Just wondering why you say that, not that I've ever owned one but have driven them and it seems a nice straightforward gearbox that anyone can jump on and drive without needing a lot of instruction in how to use it. I undesrtsand that there's demand for gearboxes with more features but these tend to need an experienced operator, surely there's also a place for a simple jump on and drive gearbox too.about time they replace the electro shift
What's your personal preference? They seem to have a lot of gear box options now, range command, power, vario,
the quality of gear changes and shuttle change is not good enough for a modern tractor and the whine and noise coming from them are not good either. weve had 5 wont have another with that gear box
Range command,,,,,,What's your personal preference?
backwards step....many had full powershift options 20 years agoSeems lot of manufacturers offering 6-8 speeds on the go
18 forward 6 reverseMy experience of driving a range command is limited to moving someone else's tractor off the way, am I right in thinking it's not a shuttle box as in 18 forward 18 reverse?
It's like Massey use to make powershift years ago, backwards step....many had full powershift options 20 years ago
But they were never particularly big sellers. Again, my driving experience is limited to booking up to a machine to move around the yard but it didn't strike me as being an ideal gearbox option moving up and down through all the gears, since then CVT's have become more popular and would seem to me to be a better option than the full power shift, my MF7480 is certainly an easy to drive tractor even for those with no previous experience of a CVT.backwards step....many had full powershift options 20 years ago
Don't think they made them, just bought them in, think they were a Funk box. My only experience of a full powershift was a MF8240, personally I'd prefer a dynashift. It's like Massey use to make powershift years ago,
