I wonder if, after spending £40,000 plus on a new defender. You still have to stop the draughts around the doors with your scarf?!
If you had a head on crash your knees would be the crumple zone.
I could live with this concept if it is the one. Still couldn't afford it however.
Ah now that' the differnce between someone who occasionally drives a defender for fun and someone who drove one daily for thirty years. I don't recall smiling much whilst driving one.And you go out with a grin on yer face
That looks crap to me. Couldn’t pay me enough to drive one.
A friend has an X reg 90 which he's had from new. He says similar to you but he only does 5k miles a year max. Someone doing 25k miles a year would be spending a damn sight more IME.‘N’ plate 90 defender had since new costs about 150-200/yr to keep on the road and now going up in value. I’d say that was better value and I’m sure insurance is far less too.

Those figures are very good indeed. Where did you find those deals at?Currently paying £3360/year + vat for a Amarok lease and £3624/year + vat for a NP300. Warranty included. Service costs fixed as well for the duration of the lease.
Doesn’t pay to own it at those figures!
So, we are all still going to buy one anyway aren't we?

At one point I was offered over 20k more for mine than it cost new !
Values have sinse softened a bit but it’s still worth more than I paid new in 2016
We put seat risers in our defender so we could drive through deeper water without getting a wet arse!I remember Kate Moss being asked why she liked driving hers. Her answer was classic. After driving past all the other vehicle stuck in deep water (floods a lot where she lived apparently) you just open the door, let the water out and drive on. [emoji106]
