Hi all,
I was just after a bit of advice on tractors as far as suggesting some or at least what to look for regarding size power brands etc... Or point in the direction of another thread.(I have searched a bit)
I have been tasked with sourcing a tractor for my getting elderly mother. And whilst I have driven a few around over the years I don't really have any bench mark on whats a good tractor.
She needs it mainly to lift the round bales into the feeder for her cattle. And I guess it would be handy to then use it from other jobs such as topping the fields and possibly cutting and baling. Sticking in fence posts.
It's quite steep in areas so I'm guessing 4wd would be good. And big / powerful enough to lift and move the bales and not fall over. Easy to operate for a smaller yet stubborn lady. Not to technical
I'm guessing it will probably be second hand and starting with a budget around 12K but could adjust.
And something that when I have to come round and fix it its easy to get bits for. Which preferably I won't have to!
I'm very competent with mechanics and have plenty of excavator experience but have never really had much dealings with a tractors.
Cheers
