Nh rollbelt round balers

What's the latest incarnation of this baler like. It's a 2023 model. Demo. Ok or best avoid? It's for mainly baling well wilted silage or hayledge for cattle. Maybe some hay but have big squares.
Thanks

A contractor got one last year after several mchale balers and it's making decent bales of silage both wet and dry . I know one of his customer's he gets him to make at least 1k bale's and he's happy with the results.

He was doing around 10k a year usually.

Sounds good then. I knew some of the earlier ones gave issues with the netting. Wasn't too sure if new ones are fixed in that department and no other major issues.

I do kinda know the driver of it I've done some raking for them in the past I know nothing of the machines . I go off what my mate tells me he runs a 960 JD and he could make much better bales when they had the mchales he occasionally baled alongside at times but he's happy with the NH bales that's been made this year . It's all heavy crop raked 3 into 1 non chopped tho

JD would be another option with a good dealer we use for JD tractors. Not too sure what they have about. Again I think some models are better than others in the JD round baler camp? Again got to be belts. Disappointed with any fixed roller bales we had done.

The JD balers with the funny back door that used to be a 960 but they're a different number now are good but are expensive compared to agco and mchale when we last priced one up it was 5k more and it's not really worth it .

I do know someone who uses the lesser spec JD which is basically an original type belt baler with the good rotor feed on it and he gets on fine but they're not exactly a HD machine.

I honestly think the NH will be worth a go I've not had a go of a NH in a very long time but as I said the one that I know of round here seems to be doing well .

I have a quite old NH belt baler. It’s quite lightly built and the feed-in rake is prone to failed sealed bearings and it’s not easy to change them. No idea whether they still use the same design. No issues with the net wrapping and never use twine tying with it.
In my opinion the best belt baler and the best built belt baler is the MF baler that used to be Welger. Then it was Lely. Now MF. Probably on the expensive side but you never know, it might be competitive. For a long lasting contracting baler, I reckon that it’s in a different league to the New Holland which is designed and built more for light and dry American crops, as used to be the Deere.
Second choice for me would be the excellent Kuhn belt baler. Again designed and built for heavier European conditions. For the small number of bales I now make annually, the old New Holland is fine but I would not buy another unless it was very significantly cheaper than my preferred models.
