Good News. I finally received a replacement rechargeable battery for my Petzl head torch today. Ordered online, it was declared at being in stock at the company’s ‘main warehouse’. What I didn’t realise until the confirmation came through, was that the warehouse was in France.

As usual from that company, the item was dispatched within a few hours..... then it sat in limbo, waiting to clear customs....for 3 weeks!

Yep, goods are certainly moving freely now.

No, it was bought from a UK supplier, it just happened to come from their French warehouse. Presumably that was the difference?

There has always been duty to pay on anything either imported from outside the EU previously, so the same rules will now apply for importing from the EU, as for anywhere else?
