used to buy airship pellets from the local garage had to be quick or they slid out the barrel , love meteors stood the test of time and still a very handy tool love them for close ratting

Ox spring and a bit I put in a bsa supersporter when I was younger and considerably more stupid was lethal not just to what I was aiming at, it was that powerful it would barely hold cocked so resulted in the break barrel flying up on it while loading and smashed me in the head 😂
Ouch 🤕

Not old but love my air arms stuff; walnut stock pro sport and s510 tdr. Used to have a bsa supersport as an old boy; when I ran out of pellets used to shoot grains of wheat instead; very much doubt the tdr would accept such ammo…

A couple of months ago I took my 10 year old son to the local air rifle range with my what I thought was reasonably modern under lever air rifle it’s got a scope and everything all the old boys gathered round to look at it as they hadn’t seen one for years. Some of the things the others were shooting was something else all powered from gas canisters and with great big sights range finders the lot

Mate of mine has an FAC rated compressed air job. Superb tool- almost no recoil and it just shoots exactly where you aim it. I am still messing around with a 20 year old bsa lightning

My brother broke my BSA Meteor but I do still have a Sharp Innova I bought over 40 years ago when they first came out around here. They came with very basic peep sights and were an awful lot more accurate than the BSA. When new it would shoot straight through a light bulb and just leave 2 holes, same with wine bottles, I have never had a gun that would do that since then. It does still work but desperately needs new seals.
A couple of years ago I bought a new Air Arms TX200 HC. Very powerful, very accurate, very heavy! You wouldn't want to carry it far.

Had a theoben Fenman. Had a gas strut instead of a spring. Very smooth action and accurate. Stock was made from sheduka bad spelling. A wood from heaven know where but beautifully made. Neighbour had a theoben rapid seven which ran off a buddy bottle and seven shot. both guns could be increased in ftlbs from the legal 12 to over 20. Would drop a bunny at 50 yards if you could hit him.

I had a Sharp back in the day, not sure if it was a Victory, or more likely Ace.
Was really very accurate. Self and a mate spoiled it by trying to turn up the pump relief pressure to get more power, and "customising" the stock.

I've still got my break-barrel ASI Magnum, from the early '80s.
On paper it packed more of a punch, but I used to shoot some orchards of rabbits and pigeons with a mate, and I'd have much rather had his underlever HW77.

Webley omega, not used it in years but it would kill at 50 paces, had a webley excel before that which was a cheaper gun but better really

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
