Pig placement

Hi everyone :)

I'm a second year RVC vet student looking for a pig placement at some point in the academic year 2021/2022.
My uni's requirements are:
- minimum of 40 breeding sows
- proof of a valid employer and public liability insurance
I'm also hoping that accommodation (and food if possible) can be provided.

I'm extremely motivated, hard working, very autonomous and can't wait to gain some experience in the pig industry and to learn from the experts! I'm very interested in becoming a farm vet, so am searching for more experience with all farm animals. I've most recently worked with sheep and dairy cows.

Feel free to send me a message or to reply to this post if you are interested, available and need some help. I'd be more than happy to provide any information that you need to choose whether I'm the right student to work on your pig farm.
Have a lovely day!

Hello!
I'm in a similar position to Tilly - I'm a first year vet student looking for a pig and poultry placement. I am extremely hard working and I am not afraid to give all my tasks 100% effort. If you know anyone who may be able to help me, please get in touch!

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
