Potato crop question

Have a small crop of potatoes which were a new variety released in Australia. Grown in spring they grew misshapen and had second growth.

Appears the variety isn't suited to the warm climate, and its a European variety.

Lost a few following 8 inches of rain a few weeks ago so not going to harvest them for seed and replant elsewhere.

If I leave them, fertiliser, and pre emerge will I get a commercial winter crop now considering they are emerging this week?

Have seen it done, generally not successful.
If the variety isn't suitable for your conditions, why try again? (Maybe leave a small patch to see if they suit the winter better)

What is your intended end market? Your effective seed rate will be 5(?) times higher than normal.

A lot of daughter tubers will break through the soil surface and go green as the planting depth will be shallow for many.

Disease and bacteria risk will be high.

As above, ask your agronomist.

Will you help clear snow?
