How are people getting on. Pissing down in Hereford at the moment Has anyone lost any crop yet?

Too dry here!

Only just started properly today, only 120 acres to do though. Got a new toy too -

We are on the North Yorkshire coast and have missed most of the rain so far . Very dry last week . 18mm of rain at the weekend and its now perfect. The most we have ever had lifted by this date.

Yes, another 8.5ac up yesterday afternoon, despite 4.5mm of rain first thing. Raining still now after 11mm overnight. It's going to be a long old season...

Conditions about perfect yesterday afternoon for lifting considering the 7 inches we got in early June . Hammered the crop in the lower places and made a hell of a lot of greens to pick off. 20 mm overnight and still raining so only going backwards now:(.

Another 8ac up yesterday, after sucking water off a couple of low spots with the tanker. Finished the first field at last!! 12mm more rain overnight, we're square wheeling today. Frustrating.

Not sure I’d like that worry. Dewulf engineer said they have nearly sold all 3 SP harvesters this week that they’ve had for sale for the past few months.

Yes, only yesterday I was chatting with a fella saying better soon get those secondhand self propelled bunker harvesters bought as they will not be in dealers yards much longer. And that is the sort of information that drives the market. We will see how potato job develops in next few weeks. All good fun.

a grim day in Lancashire today. Some lifting taking place on the lighter soils but the mosses are a bit of a mess by the look of things. More Hymacs than harvesters about the place.
