Reality of a No Deal Brexit

200,000 marched in Edinburgh yesterday for Scots independence (y)

Let them have it. the oil is gone. We keep our military installations though, for which we wont even charge Scotland for providing their national security. I would suggest the Scots need to be quick to apply to join the Euro though, it will hold its buying power against Sterling far better than the Scottish pound will.

So you're saying that a substantial number of people who voted leave don't pine for the lost empire and somehow think that it will revert back again?

That is the view constructed by remainers to feel superior.
I can't say that no leavers hold that opinion but I've never met any.
I've said it many times before but I feel it's worth repeating;
Many people in the UK don't won't to return to British imperialism, they simply recognise it in Brussels and wish to avoid some future violent independence uprising. The EU is the cause of increasing nationalism, it is not the cure[in it's present and likely future form].

Ffs baldy, look what you started.

I make no apology ... other than, as per, it wandered off topic a bit.

However, the reality for MY business - as things stand with regard to import/export tariffs on mozzarella cheese in the event of a No Deal Brexit - is that I could have £40-60k per month wiped off my milk cheque overnight. I could not sustain that and it is very sobering because there is nothing I can do except hope sense prevails.

THAT is the reality

all you can do is go through your present farming system, cut your costs as far as you can, prepare for the worst, and hope for the best !!!!!! But that shouldn't be the case, brexit needs to be settled now, either way, and farmers and businesses in the uk, and eu, can start to plan, and move on, the eu commision needs to make it appear awful to other eu countries, to put them off leaving, but, as a large mkt place for them they need some kind of deal done, as well as we do. What i can't see, is staying in, whoever would trust us again ? But please sort it out, we all need to know.
