how much was the millennium bug going to cost farmers though?

how much will brexit cost farmers ?

note not what brexit “might” cost farmers !

It might just herald the start of a new more profitable era .... let’s face it it’s hardly great now so what’s to loose for most ?

Truth is no one knows - a few just think they do !

:scratchhead: If we leave the UK will be pulled apart as both Scotland and Wales clambering for independence!

That will be very unlikely to happen because where will they get the funding they get now from the UK government ? and they may want to join the EU if they leave the UK but that will take years to happen and they will be in limbo land in the meantime.

Utter nonsense they want to leave the UK and in the next breath sign upto a federal Europe with one federal state and one government for all the country's in the EU because that is what is coming down the road before long!

Boris has said he will comply with the benn law ,more than 1 way to skin a cat

One rumour is Boris will comply with asking for an extension and then follow it up with a but.... something along the lines of we will cease being a compliant member of the EU and do everything we can to frustrate EU business. This would include but not be limited to not picking an EU commissioner.

Their shirts. Their land. Their home. Ultimately their family or family members. That is what they have to lose.

I am surprised at your lack of vision and empathy.

While it is illogical, Brexit has shown that reality has little relation to logic and sense.

I hope you don't post on the depression thread on here,, feck if someone was stood on a motorway bridge thinking of jumping off but had then changed their mind and were climbing over the barrier to safety they would talk to you and jump straight off...

I recall you posting when the milk price collapsed 2/3 years ago that it was the end, there was no point you carrying on milking regardless of what happened to the milk price as there was no future in the industry and you were going to sell up blah blah blah.... did you ever sell up or are still milking??

I think you must be one very negative person about anything and everything in life!

The SNP have been saying since the ref that if the UK leaves the EU they will get their independence and then rejoin the EU :scratchhead: Nationalists never let something as trivial as utter nonsense get in the way of the cause!

Yes very true if your a remioaner but thank god leavers are outward/ positive thinking people or we would be doomed!
As a serious scientific question, I wonder what, if any, influence, antidepressants have on the voting choices of the 7 million people taking them. For those who where unconvinced either way then remain in the EU was a neutral choice but to leave the EU is a positive choice (not in the good or bad sense but as in doing something). I am not saying it would be significant enough to alter the outcome of the vote but I wouldn't be surprised to find these substances affecting decision making.

Do I understand this correctly? It appears to me that the intention is in the event of a no deal brexit, to put tarrifs on imports of beef, butter and cheese for example
I must admit that does offer a little hope that some thought and planning has actually been put into such a scenario and maybe we wont see a rush of containers of beef, butter, cheese and lamb heading to UK shores on the 1st November. ?

eu don't want scotland to leave....i doubt an application to join would be accepted,,,,,spain for example might veto...they'b be worried by encouraging basques to do the same

Do you not understand the word "could"?

It is a could but what is the positive alternative scenario then?

We are looking at either no Brexit and things essentially stay as they are.
or
We leave without a deal and with the tariffs as already published and we suffer the consequences as explained in the video
or
What? what is the mythical Brexit will be better for UK agriculture alternative? I keep asking and I keep hearing nothing? Is it the Brexit that turns out to be a disaster for the UK economy and farm sales are boosted from the crash in the value of the pound?
