RHI System Heat Meters .

When the I in RHI always stood for incentive, you'd think they already knew it'd not make sense to buy this plant without subsidy?
If you have a good straw boiler and access to "free fuel" it probably stacks up without RHI. A wood pellet boiler might be a different matter!

Before the days of RHI we ran two woodchip boilers for general heating and a straw fired boiler for grain drying. With the price of gas 20 years ago we paid off the straw boiler in about the first year. As soon as RHI money and specifications came in, the cost of the boilers shot up.
We are now on heat from the AD plant, helped by RHI without which we would not have piped under the road to three farm cottages all of which used to have oil boilers.

We are located in Devon, however travel across the UK when required. Most of our work requires a survey of the existing installation where multiple meters are installed ( generally 4+ meters). Recoverable fee depends upon complexity and distance travelled. We provide a fixed quotation.

I have a question about Sontex meters and glycol. My Ofgem inspector has questioned the approval markings and the presence of glycol. They are saying if glycol is in the system then it cant be 'MID' approved as this is only for water? Can anyone offer any experience with this issue?
