Robots and parlour

Mines go into the Robot straight away after calving, works fine. I was just thinking if you could keep her away from the robot for the first few days until her tubes had worn off. Wastes a lot of time with the robot flushing out after every milking.

Yeah we want to put them through the parlour for 3 to 7 days to keep an eye on them at the main farm before we send them to the robot farm. We only want to bring cows over once a week ideally.
On another note we found a used double 10 parallel parlour from delaval that is priced very nicely. If we can get that fitted for an agreeable price we will probably go that route.
Many options at this point.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
