I have just acquired a 5 acre paddock, its been grazed off by sheep, what's left is rush/reed grass covering about 20% of the field, sadly the reed/rush is going to seed, what are my best options?

Either spray it with Lupo (mcpa and 24d) or cut it and spray the regrowth next year
Lime fert and muck will help

Top it if they are going to seed, then spray the regrowth with MCPA, or Weedwipe with glyphosate (if you can access a wiper).

Send a picture if you can , is it just a seed on a green stem or is it browning off ?
They be softer now , the regrowth is very hard and green ,
