Sheep handler for crutching store lambs, single person

Understand this might have been debated to death but there is new models around.

I will be building new infrastructure at my new farm, cattle set up i have sorted.

As for sheep, i aint race drenching or crutching again.

So for smaller sheep i was thinking peak hill sheep handler or open to suggestions. I dont have anyone to push stock, so need something that can grab automatically, then put upside down or side so can do medical and crutch, if i can get this set up running smooth i could buy more lambs as i work so dont have unlimited time.

Most ones on youtube have someone pushing or you need to be at the handler to activate etc.

Will be in a fixed position under cover.

Cheers, Ant...

I really like the peak hill, not sure how it would go with small lambs??

Money is not an issue, if you farm sheep and the calculator says no, sell the sheep or buy new calculator.

My back and health is worth 25k in a flash.

The gallagher looks slow, some of the 90 degree ones seem slow?

Ill reaerach the prattly a bit more.

Only issue with peak hill os drenching when they on there back and head down??? Not sure if that be an issue??

The turnover crate ideal for crutching, though I’m pretty sure the price is suited more to a contractor. They do a combi clamp type as well.

Anti backing devices are very good, I’ve fitted one to our rappa yard.

do you not fancy an auto clamp for reasons discussed above or do you like them being on there side for crutching better. Big advantage is feet work I agree.

There's been a couple of peakhill crutches in the UK, of all the ones i know they've sold them and brought something else. I can't comment personally as I've never used one
