Silage pusher or blade?

Mostly pushing in moist barley/molasses ration to cattle. Any ideas which would work better? A silage wheel pusher or a snow plough type blade?

A wheel will be better a plow type will move feed too much and end with a heap at one end
Edit. A smooth floor will be better for concentrate type feed

We tried a wheel for silage based tmr and it was rubbish and dealer very kindly let us return it and refund!
We use a square bale at a shallow angle as yet to find anything that sweeps it that clean. Then use that bale for bedding the next day

Standard super single as used by so many farms. Just didn’t make a clean job for us 🤷🏼‍♂️
Bales works 💯 every time especially on the grain element which can drop out of tmr

Exactly what we do, but holding the bale with a grab. Then loaded in the straw blower. Quick, clean & no cost. Good concrete is the secret though.

I've often wondered: With the wheel type, are the wheel axle shafts slightly angled to make them rotate, or do the wheels sit flat on the concrete and still rotate anyway?
Wheels need to be set at an angle to turn.

I’ve old 17.5 loadall tyres on mine, they do as clean a job as a bale or blade.

The bigger the pile of feed the more resistance to make it turn. Bugger bales , just a ball ache. Its been proven feed pushed in multiple times a day improves feed intakes/performance and finding bales and having the strings break is no fun. At some point during the year you will bend tines or dig concrete . Always thought scraper type rubber would make a good blade pusher.

Yes if the pile is too small it just pushes along to the next pen
