Was the wheel too small? We tried a wheel for silage based tmr and it was rubbish and dealer very kindly let us return it and refund!
We use a square bale at a shallow angle as yet to find anything that sweeps it that clean. Then use that bale for bedding the next day

Exactly what we do, but holding the bale with a grab. Then loaded in the straw blower. Quick, clean & no cost. Good concrete is the secret though.Standard super single as used by so many farms. Just didn’t make a clean job for us
Bales works every time especially on the grain element which can drop out of tmr
One we knocked up as a trial we set it at an angle. It must of done 4 or 5 winters now still in prototype form with tack welds and no paint!!!I've often wondered: With the wheel type, are the wheel axle shafts slightly angled to make them rotate, or do the wheels sit flat on the concrete and still rotate anyway?

Mine is a 16.9 by 38 wheel, tried super single but it either wouldn't turn or else turned backwards. Big wheel is keyStandard super single as used by so many farms. Just didn’t make a clean job for us

Mine is, found it had to be.I've often wondered: With the wheel type, are the wheel axle shafts slightly angled to make them rotate, or do the wheels sit flat on the concrete and still rotate anyway?
Yes if the pile is too small it just pushes along to the next penThe bigger the pile of feed the more resistance to make it turn. Bugger bales , just a ball ache. Its been proven feed pushed in multiple times a day improves feed intakes/performance and finding bales and having the strings break is no fun. At some point during the year you will bend tines or dig concrete . Always thought scraper type rubber would make a good blade pusher.
AngledHad to be what? Flat or angled.
If there is that little to push they need fed surely?Has anyone ever tried a hydraulic motor on the wheel pusher to help out?
